Geometric Art

Description

Display Victor Vasaley art prints and on-line examples of his work. Inform students they will be measuring with a ruler. Each student will do a prelimenary sketch of design. Next they will set-up their idea in a square or rectangle format using a concentric pattern of lines giving the effect of moving toward a central location in the composition. Advise that asymmetric designs are more interesting than exact center compositions. Students will color their work with markers or pencils.
