History Comes Alive!

I teach history and would like for my students to be able to learn like historians do. This would require more resources such as access to historical art, as well as primary sources, so that they could study these items and use them to decifer the past. With a Flip Video Camera, the students could create historical documentaries, in which they could explain what they have learned through more creative avenues than just a standard test.

They will become more passionate about history because they will be able to be a part of it, instead of just memorizing it from a book. Their learning will become more interactive, and will gain more experience working in a team, which will enhance their soft skills. Their knowledge of history will be greater because they will be able to learn the material in methods that involve more learning styles.
